Out With the Old, In With the New: Could Your Business Use Some Spring Cleaning?

By now you’ve probably been exposed to spring cleaning—whether participating it in or observing others do it. Well, this spring we decided to put our own spin on the infamous seasonal cleaning extravaganza: we revamped our website and restyled our logo to better reflect our work. If you’ve been considering a renewed image for your business, we invite you to take the leap this spring.

We know that a site makeover sounds intimidating; that’s why we’ve decided to take you through ours. Because talking the talk just isn’t the same as walking the walk…

But first you should know about our Spring into Action Sweepstakes. You can find more information on the Hudson Facebook page, but basically we’re giving one business an all-inclusive Facebook marking campaign for free. If you could use more Facebook fans or online exposure (who couldn’t?!), this sweepstakes is for you.

Now onto the makeover. Here’s how we broke it down:

Design: We decided it was time for a redesign of our site and logo. Our design team created a user-intuitive site design to enhance navigation We also changed our logo, simplifying its appearance to solidify its meaning. Notice the four piece circle—each piece representing Web, Mobile, Social, and Search. We could have created any design with four separate sections, but the circle symbolizes our integrated approach. In others words, each service we offer is only one piece of the full, ever-evolving brand enhancing process we provide.

Development: We like to think of development as the most intuitive feature we provide. Upscale Web development should be strong enough to increase users’ overall website experience, but subtle enough to keep the business at the forefront. We started by incorporating responsive design, a feature we provide to many clients, yet one we had not yet incorporated ourselves. Essentially, no matter what type of device you use to view our website (e.g., laptop, iPhone, Tablet), our site will display clearly and proportionately. You’ll also find that different graphics display as you scroll down our individual services pages, for that extra touch of pizzaz.

Integrated Marketing: Every design and developmental feature was agreed upon by our digital marketing specialists. We want site visitors to experience our integrated process—the combination of aesthetics, functionality and personality. Our digital marketers worked directly with the design and development teams to keep everything flowing and intuitive, including the content. While we offer the same services as before, we consolidated our website’s content to provide users with information free from confusing industry jargon. We want our clients to know who we are as people--not as a bunch of tech robots.

The Hudson redesign was a fun, exciting challenge for everyone on the team. We’re thrilled with the results, and we look forward to providing more businesses with total brand revamps.
