Background

Unbroken Designs makes fashion-forward fitness gear and apparel for men and women. From weighted vests and knee sleeves to weightlifting belts and wrist wraps, they offer durable products in unique patterns for every athlete. Although Unbroken was already a familiar name within the fitness industry, our client wanted to take the brand a step further by enhancing its digital presence.

With only a few weeks to get the campaign live, our team was tasked with coming up with a digital marketing strategy to engage fans online and attendees at one of the biggest athletic challenges of the year: The CrossFit Games.

Although Unbroken was already a familiar name within the fitness industry, our client wanted to take the brand a step further by enhancing its digital presence.

The Details

Our team decided to launch a social media contest that would allow event attendees to upload a photo and explain what it means to be unbroken.

According to the data, 90% of our client’s site traffic came from mobile devices. In line with this finding, Hudson developed a mobile-first, custom photo entry form embedded onto our client’s website. This allowed participants to easily submit entries from their mobile devices, share photos on social media, as well as view and vote on other entries.

Our team decided on a social media contest that would allow attendees to upload a photo and explain what it means to be unbroken.

To engage fans online, our team crafted branded custom graphics and shared posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Additional content was created specifically for Instagram Stories to promote the campaign and announce contest winners.

To engage attendees at the CrossFit Games, we created and implemented a live feed of contest entries to display at the event. Using custom graphics tailored to each entry, our team updated the feed remotely as more athletes submitted their photos. This in-the-moment event marketing engaged attendees and increased campaign exposure.
