Digital Copywriter


As a digital copywriter at Hudson, you should have experience researching and writing for the Web, as well as creating social media posts for various industries. You should have excellent grammar and sentence structure, knowledge of AP Style, perfect spelling and a compelling writing style. Our copywriters are responsible for writing blog posts, social media updates, and promotional/Web content. Knowledge of writing Web content and publishing through a content management system (CMS) is preferred but not necessary. PR writing experience also preferred.


  • Write/edit blogs and social media updates for clients in varying industries (e.g., technology, health, event planning, etc.)
  • Write monthly social media calendars (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.) for different clients
  • Write/edit Web and various content
  • Write email newsletters and promotional content
  • Assist the marketing team in creating copy for various ads and campaigns
  • Bring unique and creative ideas to the table during joint brainstorming sessions or alone as needed


  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or English preferred (we’re more concerned with your writing samples)
  • Basic knowledge of social media marketing (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest etc.,)
  • Basic knowledge of SEO
  • Ability to effectively research
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and sentence structure
  • 1-2 years writing experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite, including Excel, Google Docs, etc.
  • Ability to take initiative and work well alone or in groups
  • Basic knowledge of AP Style
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
